2008 US National Arabian & Half Arabian Horse Show
Wolf Point Ranch set new records in Arabian and Half Arabian Cutting. At no other time in the Arabian Cutting History had one owner taken so many titles. WPR received an unprecedented Four National Champions, Two Reserve National Champions and numerous Top Tens.
AM Seagfreed+// took the Championship in the Purebred Arabian Open. With an extensive history of winning in Arabian Cutting, Seagfreed left the crowd in awe. The Reserve National Champion in the Purebred Arabian Open was none other than Seaswirl, a very talented gelding that has a way of cutting that is lightening quick. The agile Al-Marahcymosmile was the one to beat when she took the highest scores of the show with a 72-73 on her last run for the Championship in the Purebred Arabian Non-Pro. The former pride of Cal-Poly was a sight to behold as she took her game to the next level.
For those that were in the stands, the spectacular rides with Classic Playgirl left each to wonder where this four year old Half Arabian Mare got her moves. Classic Playgirl took Championship honors in the Half Arabian Open and the Half Arabian Non-Pro class; and to prove this youngsters stamina she finished Reserve Champion in the Half Arabian Cutting Futurity.
Rounding out top honors were Seagfreed+// and Seaswirl with a Top Ten in the Non-Pro to put the final touch on the most wins for any single owner at the US Nationals. With a very talented team for Wolf Point the honors go to Punk Carter for training these horses to the highest level. Punk is known in the National Cutting Horse Association and is now taking Arabian Cutting to an unprecedented level. CT Bryant took no mercy on his competitors in the Open classes, with a flash of showmanship he was on the money. Dianna Stanger, the owner of Wolf Point Ranch, took the honors on the Non-Pro classes; with numerous high points and a former Rookie of the Year in Arabian Cutting she is now becoming a fixture in the cutting pens. |
